"I'll Always Fall for You" Anniversary Card | featuring Lawn Fawn (and Exclusive C&C Stamp Set!)

If you've been a follower of mine for quite a bit, you'll know that I LOVE creating "critter cards." What I mean by that is cards that feature little animals/creatures that tell a story! Lawn Fawn specializes in making stamp sets with little critters to play with on your cards. What I love most about Lawn Fawn, is that most of their stamp sets work together, so that you can mix and match them to create a scene for your card. For example, if you have the "Happy Harvest" stamp set, then you would have loved getting the EXCLUSIVE "You Crow Girl" stamp set released with the Fall 2023 Crop & Create classes! And I heard through the grapevine... that this set is to be released to Lawn Fawn fans THIS COMING FALL -- can't wait!

Until then, a friend of mine offered to stamp out some images from her "You Crow Girl" stamp set to send to me - I had the PERFECT idea for pairing the girl scarecrow from that set with the boy scarecrow from the "Happy Harvest" stamp set - a fall-themed annivesary card!

Like any card I typically create with a Lawn Fawn sets, I used many of their other stamp and dies sets to create a scene or "story" that I've imagined for my card. I imagined the two scarecrows, on a farm, in some sort of field, with a farm at the top of the hill overlooking them. Lawn Fawn's products really allowed me to create the scene that was in my mind.

I stamped out the images I wanted to use from the "Happy Harvest" stamp set, which included the boy scarecrow, crows, and pumpkins. I pulled out the stamped image of the girl scarecrow that I got from my friend. I also stamped the farm from the "Hay There" stamp set. I die cut the grass from solid cardstock using the "Grassy Border" die set. For some texture, I die cut the fence and trees from Light Brown Woodgrain Cardstock using the "Simple Stitched Tree Border" and "Picket Fence Border" dies. I used the "Henry's ABCs" die set to cut out the letters for "fall." Lastly, I used "Harold's ABCs" stamp set to create and stamp out the rest of my sentiment for "I'll always fall for you!"

Using miscellaneous Copic markers and Catherine Pooler dye inks, I colored in the images and blended some ink onto my die cut pieces to give them some more dimension. I also ink blended the sky for the background. Lastly, I finished off the card using a Sakura White Gel Pen for some "shine" marks - a tip I leanred from Jenn Shurkus that really gives the scene a finalized look!

Let me know what you think! Are you also on the "waiting list" to get the "You Crow Girl" stamp set?

I have some other images of the scarecrows colored that I plan to create another card with because they're just SO cute together! Be on the lookout for that - I may even do a process video ;)

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting :)
