Gold, Green & Good Vibes: A Card Celebrating Friendship | featuring Love From Lizi
As we inch closer to St. Patrick’s Day, I couldn’t resist creating a card that embraces the vibrant colors and festive energy of the season! Featuring Love From Lizi's “So Lucky” stamp & die set, coordinating ephemera pack, and plenty of shimmer, this design is all about friendship, fun, and good vibes. Let’s dive into the details!

Card Design Process:
Creating the Base:
I started with a top-folding A2 white card base and trimmed a piece of Jalapeño cardstock to 4.25” x 5.5”. To add playful texture, I ran this panel through my die-cutting machine with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die. Then, I embossed it with the Dots Embossing Folder to enhance the dimension. To frame everything, I layered the embossed panel onto Gold Mirror Cardstock, creating an elegant border with a touch of shine.
Building the Focal Point:
For the centerpiece, I die-cut a Polaroid frame from white cardstock and stamped the sentiment “to call you friend” along the bottom. Inside the frame, I added an ephemera piece featuring two friends celebrating together—a perfect nod to luck and friendship. Behind the Polaroid, I splattered green and gold inks for subtle depth. I also layered a gold glitter die-cut star as a bold backdrop.
Adding Ephemera & Details:
To bring a trendy touch to the card, I adhered the Converse shoe ephemera with foam tape, overlapping the star and Polaroid. A scattering of Gold Glitter Drops added texture and sparkle, while a few splashes of Gilded Gold pigment enhanced the festive feel.
Finishing Touches:
The “So Lucky” sentiment was die-cut from Jalapeño cardstock, with its shadow layer in white cardstock. I adhered the two layers together and positioned the sentiment at the top left using foam adhesive. The combination of the delicate font and the layered cardstock added depth and cohesion to the design. Finally, I brushed some Clear Wink of Stella over the gold accents for an extra shimmer.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Prepare the Base:
Trim Gold Mirror Cardstock to 4.25” x 5.5” and adhere it to a white A2 card base.
Create the Background:
Trim Jalapeño cardstock to 4.25” x 5.5” and die-cut with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die.
Add Splatter:
Using Gilded Aqua Pigment, splatter gold pigment onto the stitched rectangle. Let dry or heat set.
Emboss the Background:
Run the Jalapeño panel through the Dots Embossing Folder and adhere it to the gold card mat using foam tape.
Die-Cut the Star:
Cut a gold pearl cardstock star using the 3rd largest star stacklet die and adhere it to the upper left corner with foam tape.
Create the Polaroid Frame:
Die-cut from white cardstock and stamp “to call you friend” in Deck the Halls dye ink on the bottom right.
Prepare the Focal Image:
Select an ephemera piece with two friends and adhere it inside the Polaroid frame, trimming any excess.
Add Background to the Frame:
Splatter green and gold inks onto the Polaroid’s background square and let dry. Adhere behind the image.
Assemble the Layers:
Adhere the Polaroid frame to the right side of the card, overlapping the gold star with foam tape.
Add Ephemera Details:
Attach the Converse shoe ephemera to the bottom left, overlapping the star and Polaroid, using foam squares.
Create the Sentiment:
Die-cut “So Lucky” from Jalapeño cardstock and its shadow from white cardstock. Layer them together and adhere to the top left with foam tape.
Final Embellishments:
Add Gold Glitter Drops and brush Wink of Stella over the gold accents for extra sparkle.

This card is all about green, gold, and good vibes! With a mix of shimmer, texture, and layered details, it’s a bold yet balanced design perfect for celebrating friendship. Whether you’re crafting for the season or sending a heartfelt note, this project is a fun way to spread some joy.
