Embrace the Festive Spirit: St. Patrick’s Day-Inspired Card | featuring Love From Lizi

Lucky Martini Card
For this card, I combined elements from the "So Lucky" collection with the versatile "Enjoy the Little Things" stamp set to create a festive and elegant design. Here’s how I brought this card to life:
Creating the Card:
Base & Background: I started with a standard A2 card base in dark green. To add elegance and shine, I cut a scalloped rectangle from gold shimmer cardstock and layered it onto the card base.
Embossed Detail: Using a plaid embossing folder, I added texture to a smaller piece of dark green cardstock and adhered it to the center of the scalloped rectangle for a rich, layered look
Focal Point: I die-cut a circle from gold shimmer cardstock to serve as the backdrop for the martini glass ephemera. The martini glass, adorned with a festive four-leaf clover garnish, was the perfect centerpiece.
Gold Accents: To frame the design, I added gold peel-off stickers in a grid pattern over the embossed panel, echoing the plaid texture.
Finishing Touches: I stamped the “Live in the Moment” sentiment in dark green ink and die-cut it using my Brother Scan N Cut for precision. The sentiment was popped up with foam adhesive beneath the focal point. A few gold drip drops and a touch of sparkle from a shimmer pen on the martini glass completed the look.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Prepare the Card Base & Panel:
Trim an 8.5" x 11" sheet of Taylored Expressions Jalapeño Cardstock to 4.25" x 11", then score and fold it in half to create a top-folding card base. Cut the remaining piece in half along the shorter side to create a 4.25" x 5.5" card panel.
Die-Cut Gold Elements:
Using the scalloped stitched rectangle die from the WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die set (retired), cut a rectangle from Sizzix Gold Pearl Cardstock. From the leftover piece, use a 2.5" circle die from the Sizzix Circle Framelits Die Set (or any circle die set) to cut a matching gold circle.
Emboss the Green Panel:
Place the 4.25" x 5.5" Jalapeño card panel into the center of the Taylored Expressions Sketched Plaid embossing folder. Run it through your die-cut machine to create a textured plaid design.
Add Gold Details to the Plaid:
Apply Love From Lizi's Straight Gold Peel-Off Stickers to the embossed panel, adding vertical and horizontal lines for extra shine. Finish by trimming the panel with a 3.25" x 4.5" stitched rectangle die (from Lawn Fawn's Small/Large Stitched Rectangle dies) for a polished look.
Layer the Card Base:
Attach the gold scalloped rectangle die-cut to the center of the Jalapeño card base using Taylored Expressions' Foam Adhesive to add dimension.
Assemble the Embossed Panel:
Adhere the plaid embossed panel to the center of the gold scalloped rectangle die-cut with EZ Grand Runner tape runner adhesive.
Add the Gold Circle:
Position the gold circle die-cut 1/2" from the top and centered horizontally on the assembled panel. Secure it in place with foam adhesive squares.
Feature the Martini Glass:
Select the martini glass die-cut from the Love From Lizi "So Lucky" Ephemera Pack and adhere it to the center of the gold circle using foam adhesive squares for dimension.
Stamp & Add the Sentiment:
Stamp the sentiment "Live in the Moment" from the Love From Lizi "Enjoy the Little Things" stamp set onto Neenah Solar White Cardstock (80# or heavier) using Catherine Pooler's Deck the Halls ink. Fussy cut or use a Brother Scan 'n Cut machine to cut out the sentiment. Attach it to the bottom half of the card, centered below the gold circle.
Finishing Touches:
Apply Clear Wink of Stella shimmer to the shamrock and liquid in the martini glass for sparkle. Complete the card by embellishing it with a few Taylored Expressions Gold Drops using Bearly Art Liquid Glue Adhesive for added elegance.
